Os traigo la segunda entrega deeeeeeee: Cama para gato!!! En la entrada anterior, os mostraba cómo transformar una simple caja de frutas en una preciosa cama para gato. Hoy vamos a realizar un cojín que colocaremos dentro de la cajita, así que vamos a por la parte más sencilla (o eso parece).
Today I want to show you this second part of: a bed for a cat !!! In the previous post, I showed how to transform a simple fruit crate into a beautiful bed for a cat. Today we will make a cushion that we will place inside the box.
Para realizar el cojín necesitamos un trozo de tela, escogí una con ositos porque me hizo gracia y creo que combina muy bien con el color que elegí. También necesitaremos relleno, mucho más del que aparece en la foto. El relleno que usé es de algodón sintético, se le suele conocer como floca y es suave al tacto.
To make the cushion we need a piece of fabric, I chose one with bears. We also need filling, the one that I used is synthetic cotton and it is very soft.
Lo primero que hice fue medir la caja (50x34cm), así que corté dos trozos iguales de tela de 60x45cm. A continuación cosí con la ayuda de la maquina de coser en forma (mirar el gráfico) Dejé un hueco para poder dar la vuelta.
After measuring the box (50x34cm), cut two identical pieces of fabric 60x45cm. Then sew using the sewing machine in the form that you can see in the picture. I left an aperture to turn over the fabric.
Después de coser las dos partes, hay que darle la vuelta por la apertura que hemos dejado. Cuando acabé de darle la vuelta al cojín, pasé a meterle la floca. A continuación, cerré el agujerillo que quedaba con una costura invisible hecha a mano.
After sewing the two sides turn over the fabric and fill with the stuff. Then close the aperture with an invisible sewing.
Peroooooo, catástrofe!!!! El cojín me quedo pequeño!
Buuuuuuuut, what a disaster! The cushion was little!
Auxilio, si lo he hecho todo bien, pero resulta que aunque haya añadido 10cm de más a la medida original de la caja, resulta que me quedé corta, ya que cuando empiezas a meter el relleno, el cojín va inflándose y pierdes centímetros (tendría que haber cosido el cojín de otra forma).
S.O.S! Everything was right, but I added only 10cm to the original measure of the box and it seams that i was in need to add more cms.
Ahora toca improvisar, Tití se merece algo bonito. Por eso, medí los dos laterales y el frontal de la caja y añadí 20cm de más, corté un rectángulo y volví a hacer lo mismo que antes.
But don’t worry, Tití needs something beautiful, so I started to sew another cushion after measuring three sides of the crate.
Después de coser y rematar todo, aquí está mi obra de arte 😀 Tití está muy contento, al principio lo exploraba y olía, pero no se decidía a entrar, cosas de gatos. Sin embargo ahora, no hay quien lo pueda levantar de su sitio.
After sewing everythin, here it’s Titi’s new bed! Tití is very happy whit it and no body can pick him up.
